Sörenberg - Ski Day
Skiing at Sörenberg. A day on the pistes at the head of the Entlebuch valley, under the Brienzer Rothorn.
Sörenberg, 1,110-2,298 m / Rothorn and Schwarzenegg sectors
Lift-served pistes: 42 km total - 24 km blue, 10 km red, 8 km black / 14 lifts / 1,188 m vertical
The area is two halves joined by a piste. Schwarzenegg rises straight out of the village and holds most of the gentle ground, with Rossweid and its runs back to the valley. The other half goes up the valley towards the Brienzer Rothorn, where the cable car from Schönenboden and the chairlift above it open over 1,000 m of vertical and the two red runs from the top.
Early March, so there was still snow low down and no need to ration the laps.
