Recovery climbing on the Via Pebi at the Klein Furkahorn, the day after the Galengrat-Verschneidung. Five pitches at 5a on good granite after a long day — and superb views the whole way.

The Klein Furkahorn is high-alpine climbing on excellent Urner granite, reached along the eastern moraine of the Rhone Glacier. It is a generous mountain — depending on which anchors you count there are more than twenty rope lengths of climbing spread across its slabs, and topos for the area are in Känel’s Plaisir Ost.
