Sustenbrüggli Bouldering Session

A bouldering session at Sustenbrüggli in mid-June — back on the granite blocks in the high valley below the Sustenpass, a few weeks after the road opened for the season.

Font 4–8b+ across roughly 180 problems / granite and gneiss / a few minutes from the parking at Gasthof Sustenbrüggli

No notes on what I climbed that day, so no grades claimed here. The blocks sit scattered across the hillside just above the road, and the whole session was the usual routine: wander between them, try things, sit down, try again.

Sustenbrüggli is granite and gneiss, roughly 180 problems from Font 4 up to 8b+, with the bulk in the 6s. The landings are mostly friendly. It stays my favourite spot for a short session — a few minutes from the car and the peaks right there.
