Projecting again in Eptingen
Back in Eptingen for another round of projecting. It is the closest proper limestone to Basel, which is most of the reason it keeps coming up.
Eptingen, 540 m / Basler Jura
Sport climbing, 3a–9b across three sectors · walls 18–20 m · limestone · 10–25 min approach (T1)
Eptingen sits at about 540 m in the Basler Jura, split into three sectors: Bündel (25 routes, 5a–6c+), Diegterwand (36 routes, 6a–8b+) and Wasserfalle (24 routes, 5c–7c+). All limestone, walls of 18–20 m, with the bulk of the climbing in the 6a–6c range. It is one of the busier crags in the region, mostly because Baselland, Solothurn and Aargau all reach it easily.
The one drawback is the motorway below — you hear it the whole time.
