Sertig, One Week Later
Sertig ice climbing. That is the whole record of the day — a return to the Sertig falls a week after the last visit, and no note of which line we picked.
Sertig Wasserfälle, 1860 m (base) / Sertigtal, Davos
WI3 to WI5- across five icefalls / up to 4 pitches / 150-180 climbing metres / water ice
Not much to report beyond the fact that we went. I don’t remember which of the falls we got on, so I won’t pretend otherwise — the amphitheatre holds five big lines, from a WI3 couloir on the far right to a WI5- pillar on the far left, so there is something for whoever turns up.
It stays popular for good reason: reliable ice, up to four pitches, and 150-180 m of climbing without a serious walk-in. It also gets busy, and with several teams stacked under the same falls you spend a fair part of the day standing still and watching ice come down. Worth being early.
