Cresciano
Perched in the Italian-speaking region of Ticino, Cresciano is a world-class bouldering destination known for its pristine granite blocks scattered through a picturesque chestnut forest.
The compact grey granite offers a mix of slopers and crimps, with most sectors shaded by chestnut trees except during midday sun.
The area offers hundreds of problems across all grades, from beginner-friendly climbs to legendary testpieces like “Dream Time” (V15), with the best conditions typically found during the cooler months from October to March.
Logistics
From the parking area near the village of Cresciano, follow the well-marked trail uphill through the chestnut forest, with most sectors accessible within a 10-20 minute hike. The main sectors are spread across different elevation levels on the hillside.
